Unified Access: Centralizing internal apps for seamless role-based navigation.
After multiple discussions and an expanded project scope, we envisioned an integrated ecosystem comprised of a launchpad that works as a landing page for the different user roles, a dashboard view that summarizes the portfolio information, and an account and detail view that provides more insights about the business opportunities associate with each client account.
Testing
Optimizing through iteration: Strategic testing for continuous design refinement.
Product walkthrough
The team held several weekly sessions with stakeholders and managers in order to validate business requirements as well as different aspects of design such as information architecture, flows and interactions.
Usability sessions
We ran 2 iterations of usability testing with 6 users in each iteration (2 by role) to analyze performance on key tasks and collect metrics that support the impact of the design work.
Design critiques
As a team, we hosted several design critiques with other product designers to work through some specific challenges during the process through collaborative work.
Results
Reduced average time on task by 22% for engagmeent manager and opportunity leaders in taks about review eng data and opportunity data to renew the deals streamlining the O2E dashboard’s information hierarchy and making key data more accesible.
Developed a unified access point that integrated internal apps reducing navigation time in 17% and improving workflow efficiency.
Delivered a role-based navigation system that adapted content based on user profiles, improving decision-making processes.
A more intuitive experience by offering different levels of information avoiding overwhelming users.
As a baseline, we used the guidelines that the design system provided for typography and colors, adapting all the elements to the needs of the project and our target.

By iterating on each proposal, the team explored various approaches aiming to improve information architecture and visual load. We focused on creating a layout with clearer hierarchy, ensuring that the most relevant information was highlighted.
The team focused the design on desktop, considering the tasks our users would perform, the volume of data they would visualize, the need for enhanced data security, and the importance of collaboration between team members.

Problem
O2E dashboard portfolio made it difficult for users to find and scan critical information, slowing decision making. The project aimed to redesign the dashboard for easier navigation and faster information consumption.
Research
Having in mind the project started as a redesign of a dashboard, we focused in understand our users and this include its goals, needs and pain points.

Benchmark
Given the complexity of the information and the variety of potential chart types, we conducted a benchmarking process to draw relevant references and concepts to guide our design exploration. Key insights from this stage included: reducing visual complexity, enabling user interaction with the data, and maintaining sufficient contrast to ensure readability.
Breaking down the experience to reduce cognitive load.
